Database and Online Information Services of Pesticide Action Network International:
PAN North America has launched a test version of the WaterPIC, a new web database with the latest available information about pesticide pollutants in California's rivers, creeks and other surface waters. This new tool makes it easy to see relationships between pesticide use and surface water impacts. Comprehensive chemical database which includes toxicity, poisoning symptoms, ecotoxicity, registration, use data, links and information on alternatives. Documentation provides basic background information on many topics.
The International organic cotton directory web site was developed by PANNA, PAN Germany, and OTA and it provides the first fully indexed, international directory dedicated to organic cotton. It includes information on more than 250 farmers, companies and organizations working around the globe to grow the organic cotton market.

PAN UK launches its new pesticide research database www.pesticidelibrary.org. The database is a collection of bibliographic information, which cites over 6000 articles, reports and books relating to the health and environmental effects of pesticides, and alternatives to their use. GeneWatch UK and Greenpeace have launched an on-line, searchable web site that gives details of all the known cases of GM contamination of food, feed, seed and wild plants that have taken place worldwide. |
